Gold Medal Awards under its current ownership has only been in business since January 2017, but our legacy of delivering quality personalized awards, gifts, promotional items and clothing stretches back nearly 50 years. Prior to 2017, the business was owned by Chuck Finster and operated under the name Red Dot Trophies providing products both locally and to customers throughout the state of Indiana and beyond. Red Dot Trophy had been in business for more than10 years when Chuck acquired it and grew the business for the next 35 years. Chuck clearly understood that delivering value at affordable prices was the key to developing loyal customers built upon strong relationships. Fortunately for Gold Medal Awards, Chuck is still working with us and passing on his awards and recognition knowledge to the new owners, Tim and Nina White.
Later in 2017, we quickly expanded Gold Medal Awards when we purchased Joan Carver's Sweet Stitch business and began offering items personalized with embroidery and heat pressing. We've quickly grown from one to three embroidery machines and have gained customers across the country.
If you happen to be in Bunker Hill, drop in and say hello. The product line is constantly changing and we also offer personalized items from our laser engraver as well as provide shirts, uniforms and other items for your group or team. There's no need to buy anything when you visit, just stop in because we enjoy the company (it's a small town without much traffic so we appreciate a visit). We're located at 1911 S. Elm St. in the former Masonic Lodge Building that's pretty hard to miss.
